Hi Gypsy Chick, It's good to hear that the class is helping you. One of the most stressful things that you can do in life is to be a caretaker. It is real important for you to get a break every now and then as well as to practice the techniques we are being taught. To answer your question: My husband and I have been full time RVers for the past 4 years. We enjoy it a great deal. We felt a great deal of stress just fall off our shoulders about 20 minutes down the road in our new RV. The amount of work, time, and both financial and mental/physical stress of taking care of a house are long gone for us. We enjoy our lifestyle and recommend it to anyone who feels that they have the independent and resourceful spirit it takes. Since you are planning on a used RV, have it checked thoroughly. If possible, get a good extended warranty. RV's can be expensive to repair. We have had a few repairs to ours that are over the cost of the warranty that we originally paid. We belong to the Good Sam Club. It's a good starting place to RV information, rallys, trip planning, etc. We have also belong to Escapees and Workamper. We have supported our lifestyle by workamping here and there. For the most part we have enjoyed our jobs --although one or two were stressful. My main stress is missing the family. We do keep in touch regularly through e-mails and phone calls, but there is nothing like personal contact. Also, the aches and pains that come with aging keep we awake at night. Sleeping enough is hard for me. The techniques are helping we to quiet the mind to allow me to drift off to sleep. Perhaps we'll meet on the road. Always on the go Mari
